Internship Report - Alina | Marketing

This September, our marketing intern Alina finishes her internship at ALMATO. We'd like to thank her for her commitment and help and wish her all the best for her studies. Read on to find out how she's experienced her time at ALMATO.

College: Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg
Area of Study: Business Studies – Media and Communication (B.A.)
Internship: June 2016 – September 2016
Duration: 3 months

Why did you choose ALMATO for your internship?

After finishing my Bachelor, I wanted to gain insight into the IT industry. I was interested in ALMATO because of its position as a pioneer in the field of Robotic Process Automation. Furthermore, ALMATO has many well-known companies amongst its customers.

What were your main tasks?

I assisted the ALMATO Marketing Team, so I had a variety of different tasks. One area was content marketing, where I wrote and edited blogposts as well as newsletters. Also, I could take over many tasks in event management. In September, ALMATO has a big customer event, the Customer Forum, so I had the chance to help with the organization. Furthermore, I gained insights into online marketing and employer branding.

Was there a particular highlight during your internship?

I really liked that during my internship, I could take over important tasks from the very beginning and always felt like a regular member of the team. It was great to be appreciated and trusted and be able to take on responsiblity.

What was the mentoring like? Was there regular feedback?

During my entire internship I was mentored and accompanied. At the same time, I was given the freedom to independently pursue and finish tasks. I had regular meetings where the status of my tasks and the results were discussed. I got honest and detailed feedback. When I had questions, I could ask my team or other employees any time and they always took the time to answer my questions.

What's your conclusion about the internship at ALMATO?

I learned a lot during my internship. Also, I always felt at ease and welcome. The great work atmosphere at ALMATO impressed me. I would do it again anytime.

What are your plans after the internship?

I'll start my Master's degree in October and will study for another two years.
